Coalition thanks Chairman Harkin for championing Access to Emergency Devices
The National Rural Health Association joined the Ad Hoc Coalition to Save Lives through Public Access to Defibrillation in thanking Chairman Tom Harkin for being the champion of HRSA’s Rural Access to Emergency Devices Program. In a letter, the Coalition asks Chairman Harkin to include $8.927 million for the Rural and Community Access to Emergency Devices Program in the FY 2014 Labor-HHS-Education Appropriation bill. This would restore the life-saving program to its FY 2005 level when 47 states received funding under the rural component. Similar letters were sent to all members of Congress.
