House passes Continuing Resolution

The House of Representatives on Thursday passed and sent to the White House a continuing resolution that would fund the government for the next six months and avert any threat of a government shutdown next week. The continuing resolution, which passed 318-109 in the House, will keep agencies funded through the end of September. The Senate approved the six-month stopgap spending bill 73-26 Wednesday.
