It's deadline time
Tis the season for deadlines, and at NRHA, we don’t want you to miss any of these opportunities: Dec. 31: Apply for a $1,000 technical assistance grant for travel and registration expenses associated with attending the National Rural Health Association’s 25th annual Rural Health Policy Institute Feb. 4-6 in D.C. Up to five grants will be awarded and funded by the Rural Health Foundation. Dec. 31: Support rural leadership with a donation to the Rural Health Foundation on or before Dec. 31 to be listed in NRHA’s next Rural Roads magazine and claim the gift on your 2013 taxes. Jan. 6: Photos will be accepted through Jan. 6 for NRHA and the Rural Assistance Center’s Rural Lens photo contest. The winner in each category – community outreach, people and landscape – will have their image featured in Rural Roads, and the grand prize winner will also receive an iPad Mini. Jan. 13: Submit original research for paper presentations and posters by Jan. 13 for NRHA’s 37th Annual Rural Health Conference April 22-25 in Las Vegas. Each year, more than 200 people present more than 50 educational sessions, 20 research papers and up to 100 research and educational posters to 900 attendees. Jan. 13: Register for NRHA’s 25th annual Rural Health Policy Institute by Jan. 13 to save $100. Exclusive attendee hotel savings also expire Jan. 13 for the Feb. 4-6 event in D.C. Feb. 11: Nominate your favorite rural health professionals, students and organizations to be honored nationally for their contributions to rural America by Feb. 11 for recognition during NRHA’s 37th Annual Rural Health Conference.
